blessed day

On Sunday our Preston baby

was given a name and a blessing

he was absolutely

darling in his blessing clothes

from nana & papa

he was so peaceful & calm

I  adore his clefty grin

&

 oh, those dimples!

It was a beautiful and blessed day for

our family.

We are thankful for the eternal

blessings of the gospel.

length 25 in.
weight 14 lb. 8oz
98th percentile for both!

peace amid chaos

It's no secret,

that sometimes(mostly), our house is chaotic.

Kids running and playing, 

arguing and chasing.

By all accounts, the "normal"

for a family with four kids 7 yrs and younger.

This morning, as most, I ran around straightening and cleaning, sorting and folding.

The chaos ensued, all around the house.

Dumping blocks, giggling, remote control cars racing,

jumping on couches, singing etc.

In the middle of it all,

sleeps Preston.

My peaceful, sleepy baby.

He finds peace in the chaos.

Comforting, loud sounds of his siblings play,

familiar from the womb,

are his lullaby.

That's my goal;

finding peace in the chaos. . .

 Certainly, it's made easier

by the nursing and snuggling 

of this littlest angel.

the quirks, the worries, the silly...

it gets me through the day 

with my own kids

and my own mother's,

 who fills in the gaps for me...

when i can get them....

5***  warmer weather and sunshine.

with the promise of summer to come...

they are leaving little marks on his chubs...

In the middle of having a baby. . .

Stella played her 1st seasons of basketball.

she learned the basics of the game

and she loved it!

She played with her friends

Madison and McKenzie.

She may have been the tallest 6 yr. old

baby love

this little one is one month today,

eating & eating,

growing & growing,

(my scale 11+ lbs)

he's gathering little chubs

under his chin,

sleeping a little--

or a lot if being held,

smiles at least once a day,

has beautiful, smooth skin,

doesn't like being "burped"

his daddy went back to work today,

after spending a month at home with us

(we were very lucky to have him here)

Preston spent the morning in the Bjorn,

he seemed to like it...
