birthday girl

 Stella turned 8 on the 18th of March.

It was a celebration!

She thought and planned and decorated,

for weeks.

We tried to stick to her vision.

She wanted a Hawaiian party.

 

 

 

 It was a great day,

filled with flowers, friends,

swimming, sandy beach cupcakes,

paper lanterns,

and tiny umbrellas.

She was thrilled,

just as we are,

that she's our birthday girl.

 Just bein' kids,

exploring,

making messes (aka, playing),

cleaning up messes,

making green smoothies,

thinking about summer vacations,  

battling a stomach virus,

and then strep throat,

a little bickering (amongst the kids),

breaking up said arguments,

lots and lots of scotch tape used by the eldest,

notes and pictures taped ALL OVER THE HOUSE!

reading scriptures together,

avoiding the laundry that needs folding,

anticipating a big birthday (8) and baptism,

registering a boy for Kindergarten!

a new calling in nursery

pretty much life as normal

note: the strep throat brought a strong urge for the binky....
