little chef

My Sammy boy loves to cook.
Every time he see me start to bake,
he comes running.
"mom, can i cook with you?"
"i can be your little chef"
Then, as we cook, he talks and asks questions.
"mom, mom, mom, what is this?"
"hey mom, can i do that?"
"mom, you can just call me
LITTLE CHEF,
and i'll just call you,
BIG CHEF."
he's a charmer for sure...

thirty+five

New Year's Eve marked my birthday,
thirty + five years.
The same day this baby of mine,
thirty +five weeks.
I haven't documented many pictures
of the two of us.
I'm the last person that I turn the camera towards.
This wee one needs documentation.
We are growing and healthy.

christmas

Christmas Eve

Opening their special Christmas Eve package.

At Nana & Papa's Christmas Eve party.
In the holiday jammies.

A blessed holiday was received at our house.
We are thankful for the birth of our Savior
and the gift that He has given us.
We are grateful for these beautiful children
to teach and love and celebrate.

holiday spirit

We've been working our way into the holiday around here.
The first week, we got our tree set up and some decorations out.
The day after, the kids rearranged everything on the tree
before 8 am and I threatened to box it all back up
if the couldn't leave it be.
See, how fun it is to live with a woman
who is 8 months pregnant at the holidays?

The second week, we decorated our gingerbread house.
The kids loved it.
The used every single bit of candy that came in the kit.
The little candy house is, in their words, "very fancy."

Their finished project.
Surprisingly, our tree is still standing
and the fancy little house still has
all of it's candy.
