magic

Some days are magic.

Kids wake up happy, the house is in order, there no place we need to go,

and so we hunker down and spend our day at home.

Snuggled in, which is nice when it's 10 degrees outside.

My kids are magic.

They can turn the family room into anything their hearts desire.

Some days they sail the seas in a ship and fight off bad pirates.

Other days they take flight in an airplane and visit Uncle Marcus in New Zealand.

Lots of times they take car trips to the beach and meet their cousins

to play in the sand and sea.

All they need is space, odds and ends, chairs, pillows etc.

And their ever ready imaginations.

We don't watch much t.v. around here.

Especially not during the daylight hours.

There is so much for these little minds and bodies to do,

they fill their time creating and roaming.

On Tuesday is was a quaint lunch for two.

Shared at a small private table.

Featured on the menu: grapes, carrots and mac & cheese.

The hours of fun these kids can have together!

Don't be mislead, there are also arguments and such.

But, at least for a couple of hours every day, there is a little magic

at our house.

By the way, we can add one more mac & cheese lover to our list.
